Hoda Kotb<\/a> hasn’t closed the door on marriage.<\/p>\n

On the Wednesday, December 11 episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna,<\/em> the 60-year-old morning show mainstay and her co-host Jenna Bush Hager<\/a> discussed the “micro-wedding” trend, prompting Kotb to consider her future wedding.<\/p>\n

Bush Hager, 43, asked the Dateline<\/em> alum what size wedding she wanted one day, and Kotb responded, “When that day comes, probably a small [wedding], yeah.”<\/p>\n

Kotb said she thinks micro-weddings are happening because of how expensive the receptions are. “They’re growing in popularity because I think people don’t want to spend a ton of money on the party and then afterwards and then the bills,” she remarked.<\/p>\n

The New York Times<\/em> bestselling author was married to University of New Orleans tennis coach Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008. Kotb reflected on their destination wedding, saying, “It wasn’t small, but it wasn’t huge.”<\/p>\n

The TV personality was also in a relationship with Joel Schiffman for eight years \u2014<\/strong> they share two adopted daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5. The pair got engaged in 2019 and then split in December 2021.<\/p>\n

In August, Kotb opened up about her dating life on The Jamie Kern Lima Show<\/a>. <\/em>The award-winning journalist said she “tabled” her relationship with a mystery man<\/a> with whom she went on three dates.<\/p>\n

“This person, who’s a lovely human being, has a lot of kind of things that are being worked out,” she explained. The Today <\/a><\/em>anchor noted she was striving for more “simplicity” out of her relationship.<\/p>\n

Because of her busy schedule, Kotb said it’s important to find someone who is not “subtracting” anything from her life.<\/p>\n

“When I kind of map my days out and see what free time do I really have, it’s so limited that you want to make sure that when you have it that, you’re spending it with someone who’s in the addition business of your life,” the mother of two told listeners.<\/p>\n

Kotb announced she would be leaving Today<\/em><\/a> sometime in 2025 and cited wanting to devote more time to her family<\/a> as one of the reasons.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
