target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explained an outraged Reddit user <\/a>of their unnamed sister-in-law\u2019s unconventional plans to tie the knot. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of compromising or working together, they\u2019re each having their own wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>For their nontraditional nuptials, the \u201cboujee\u201d bride has arranged a destination micro-wedding to be held over three hours away from the pair\u2019s hometown. <\/p>\n<p>Conversely, her groom has organized a large local bash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The nearly-weds have secured separate venues, hired staff and created two different gift registries, according to the post \u2014 which is firing up fury from fuming readers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Reddit user revealed that their sister-in-law is forcing close family members to attend both weddings at their own expense.  <span class=\"credit\">lulu \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cDumbest, most self-centered thing I have ever heard,\u201d scoffed an incensed commenter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s insane,\u201d said another, which was followed by rebuking remarks such as, \u201cThey\u2019re doomed\u201d and \u201cThey\u2019re grifters conducting a massive money grab.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI sure would not be attending both weddings,\u201d wrote an equally offended onlooker.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDefinitely not [buying] two separate gifts either,\u201d another spat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But, unfortunately for the Redditor, skipping out or skimping on one of the ceremonies just isn\u2019t an option.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to go to both,\u201d they shockingly revealed in replies to the comments. \u201c[My sister-in-law] is being just a teeny bit bonkers and has thrown temper tantrums over it already.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Virtual commenters blasted the couple for forcing guests to attend two separate wedding ceremonies, as well as pay of $200 per night \u2014 at a two-night minimum \u2014 for lodging at a mountainside hotel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The annoyed complainer conceded that the future spouses seem to have a \u201csolid relationship\u201d \u2014 adding, however, that their disjointed \u201cI do\u2019s\u201d would \u201cseem to counteract the whole idea of marriage.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike if it\u2019s about both of you joining together,\u201d wondered the Redditor, \u201cwhy are you each having your own separate thing?.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Forcing invitees to blindly follow orders seems to be all the rage among the recent wave of brides and grooms.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NYC sweeties Nova and Reemo Styles<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/30\/lifestyle\/cost-conscious-couples-save-money-with-crazy-wedding-hacks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> previously told The Post<\/a> that they made guests pay $333 per person for tickets to their Big Apple-themed big day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Phil, a UK man, separately revealed that his best friend, Jake, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/28\/lifestyle\/my-best-friend-demanded-i-pay-2-k-to-attend-their-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charged him and other well-wishers $2,528<\/a> to
