A supposed wedding in Cagayan de Oro turned into a viral scandal after a group of suppliers accused a bride of scamming them out of P270,000 for an event that never took place.<\/p>\n

Wedding organizer Apilado Arvil of Barra, Opol, filed a complaint against November Justine Gay Jaudines of Buhangin, Davao del Sur, claiming she promised to pay after the wedding but failed to do so.<\/p>\n

Jaudines allegedly introduced herself as a niece of Senator Christopher Lawrence \u2018Bong\u2019 Go and a civil engineer.<\/p>\n

According to Arvil, the event was scheduled for 3 pm, but by 8 pm, no guests, judge, or father of the bride had arrived, prompting him to report the incident to the police.<\/p>\n

\u201cPag ka <\/em>8 am (March 10) naghinay-hinay nag abot ang mga <\/em>suppliers. Buntag nasugdan na tanan <\/em>preparation. Nag <\/em>pictorial na<\/em>. Nag <\/em>make-up na<\/em>. Tanan-tanan kompleto na (kana) sya hangtod na gabii na. Natingala na \u2018mi kay wala\u2019y niabot<\/em>,\u201d said Apilado over iFM-Rmn CdO.<\/p>\n

Jaudines and her supposed groom remain in custody at Cogon Police Station 2.<\/p>\n

She claims her father will pay the suppliers, but no payment has been made as of press time.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, social media users have come forward with similar accusations against Jaudines, claiming they were also scammed.<\/p>\n

The groom, from Kinoguitan, Misamis Oriental, told authorities he had a one-night stand with Jaudines in Davao last September and agreed to marry her because she was pregnant.<\/p>\n

Vanessa Aleria, who worked as the bride\u2019s assistant, noticed inconsistencies throughout the wedding preparations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was really something off about her,\u201d Aleria said in Bisaya in a Facebook live video.<\/p>\n

Arvil plans to file an estafa case against Jaudines if she fails to settle the payment today, March 11.<\/p>\n
