It appears Plant No. 4, located inside the Phoenix Building along Milwaukee Street, has an uncertain future. “My clients are confused and don’t quite know what to do,” wedding planner Heather Farr told 12 News Tuesday. Farr has clients who were supposed to get married at the Third Ward venue in May. Now, just two months out from their wedding day, there’s a “For Lease” sign in the venue’s window.”Invitations have gone out. All of their guests have flights. They have hotel rooms. They have multiple vendors that they’ve booked,” Farr said. Court records show Black Swan Enterprises, which operates Plant No. 4, owed its landlord “$95,487.39 in rent and other charges.” A judge granted eviction in December of last year.Word just recently got out to couples and wedding planners like Far who 12 News spoke to on the phone Tuesday. “Our motivations are not vindictive in any way, shape, or form,” Farr said. “We just want people to be able to plan ahead and have the weddings that they are dreaming of and planning for.”Court documents indicate a different couple is now suing the same company.
