(WNDU) &#8211; An event venue in Elkhart County is pretty much gone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wndu.com\/2025\/03\/25\/barn-heavily-damaged-fire-elkhart-county-wedding-venue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after a fire destroyed it<\/a> late Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Six fire departments were needed to extinguish the fire that erupted inside the barn where celebrations were typically held throughout the year by <a href=\"https:\/\/countrystrongevents.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Country Strong Events<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Wednesday, the Concord Township Fire Department was out on the property investigating and trying to put the pieces together as to how the barn caught on fire.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media-item | figure media-item-image article-image w-100\">\n<div class=\"figure-wrapper img-wrapper figure-img\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"The barn at Country Strong Events fully engulfed in flames.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/espacestudio.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Questions-remain-after-fire-at-Elkhart-County-wedding-venue.jpg?resize=980%2C535&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"980\" height=\"535\" \/><\/div><figcaption class=\"figure-caption mt-1 px-1\"><span class=\"caption-text\">The barn at Country Strong Events fully engulfed in flames.<\/span><span class=\"caption-credit\">(Karen Morris Avery)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">WNDU 16 News Now spoke to a man named Terry who says he reported the fire after seeing and smelling smoke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI was just driving up the road and saw the smoke and was wondering who was burning. (It\u2019s) brush season, a lot of people burn brush fires around here,\u201d Terry said. \u201cI saw the neighbors were out and they were looking up this way. As I came up the road and cleared the trees, I saw the smoke billowing out of the barn. No fire yet, so I called it in right away. . . I drove back down and pulled in the driveway, and as soon as I did that I saw the flames burst out on the east side of the barn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There have been a lot of posts online from people who have had their weddings and other events at Country Strong, talking about amazing memories they made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It\u2019s not clear at this time what\u2019s going to happen to people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wndu.com\/2025\/03\/26\/how-many-people-are-scrambling-find-new-wedding-venue-after-elkhart-co-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who have parties, weddings and other events planned<\/a> at the barn in the near future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">WNDU 16 News Now has reached out to Country Strong for comment but is still waiting to hear back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\"><i>Copyright 2025 WNDU.
