We ended up dealing with a tornado watch and were keeping our eyes out for those severe storms in fact several Community Liaison Officers with Shreveport Police took to their Facebook pages to warn our community. A lot of us went and picked up Mexican food to go and called it a day. Many restaurants that had big tents set up outside still welcomed people inside the restaurant to party for Cinco De Mayo. Unfortunately, El Cabo Verde was one of the first restaurants to cancel their big fiesta since the party was in the park and scheduled to be outside. They promised a makeup day for festivities and the day is on the way.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"El_Cabo_Verde_Will_Have_a_Huge_Quince_de_Mayo_Fiesta_on_May_15th\"><\/span>El Cabo Verde Will Have a Huge Quince de Mayo Fiesta on May 15th.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Basically, we get to celebrate Cinco de Mayo twice this year and I am not mad about it. The event is free to the community. They plan to have all kinds of fun for your entire family and a mariachi band will be out there too.<\/p>\n<p>El Cabo Verde said <em>&#8220;Let\u2019s make up our rained-out Cinco by continuing our Fiesta in the Park!
