Happy Pride Month!<\/p>\n

Vancouver is very proud of its 2SLGBTQ+ community and the city is showing support through the big and\u00a0little things (like having\u00a0a\u00a02SLGBTQ-only micro-wedding<\/a> day at City Hall).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Queer events happen around Vancouver throughout the year, but this month is special, so we’ve put together a mega roundup of all the 2SLGBTQ+ events happening around town.<\/p>\n

We’ll be updating this list as more events are announced, so bookmark this page and check back often.<\/p>\n

    <\/span>Brandy Mars LGBTQ Art Exhibit<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Vancouver queer artist Brandy Mars<\/a> is putting on her first solo\u00a0art exhibition. The paintings depict\u00a0three local lesbian couples’\u00a0love in an intimate, romantic way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    When<\/strong>: June 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

    Where<\/strong>: The Garden – 868 East Hastings<\/p>\n

    Cost<\/strong>: Free (unless you purchase her work)<\/p>\n

    <\/span>5X Pride<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

    DJs, drag queens and a film screening, this event is a celebration and discussion for the queer community.<\/p>\n

    When<\/strong>: June 17 from 6 p.m. to midnight<\/p>\n

    Where<\/strong>: The Beaumont Studios – 316 West 5th Ave<\/p>\n

    Cost<\/strong>: $20<\/p>\n

    <\/span>Queer Arts Festival<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

    This year’s festival, dubbed\u00a0HAUNTINGS<\/em>, explores what colonial culture attempted to erase through a Queer context. The lineup includes an art party on a Chinatown rooftop, visual art exhibitions, walking tours, performances, screenings and drag.<\/p>\n

    When<\/strong>: June 18 through July 8 with various lineup dates<\/p>\n

    Where<\/strong>: various galleries and locations around Vancouver<\/p>\n

    Cost<\/strong>: There are both free and paid events<\/p>\n

    <\/span>Burgers and Beers with a Side of Queer<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

    A ticket will get you one burger and beer, queer entertainment and entry for raffle prizes. 100 per cent of proceeds go towards a lesbian refugee family being sponsored by Rainbow Refugee Society.<\/p>\n

    When<\/strong>: June 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

    Where<\/strong>: Mary’s on Davie – 1202 Davie St<\/p>\n

    Cost<\/strong>: $27<\/p>\n

    <\/span>Drag Shows<\/span><\/h3>\n

    UBC Drag<\/a> – June 8 from 7 p.m. at Koerner’s Pub (1758 West Mall)<\/p>\n

    THEY\/THEM\/THEIRS: A Non-Binary Drag Showcase<\/a> – June 11 from 8-11 p.m. at The Vault Cafe (499 Wallace St)<\/p>\n

    Tainted Presents: Hellbound <\/a>– June 10 from 9:45 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 550 Malkin Ave<\/p>\n
