An experienced photographer has opened up about how business is busy at her new studio in Mapperley<\/a>. From working with the likes of Fearne Cotton and brands such as Boots and Wilko<\/a>, Jess Rigley Portraits is on 894B Woodborough Road – building that formerly housed offices. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Jess has 13 years of experience in photography. Local to Mapperley, she specialises in newborn shoots, family shoots, cake smashes, maternity, and wedding photography.<\/p>\n

With the cost of living crisis, photoshoots aren\u2019t necessarily a priority for a lot of people – and Jess previously didn\u2019t know if the studio would work out. However, with the power of social media, she\u2019s been inundated with clients and opportunities.<\/p>\n

In a studio filled with colourful props and adjustable sets, Jess trialed having a studio elsewhere in Nottingham before getting her studio in Mapperley. She wanted to see if it would be well-received by customers – and it certainly has been.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cBecause of the cost of living, I have been very aware of my prices and wanted to keep things affordable. I think it’s a lot more affordable because I\u2019m doing this for the love of it and I get things are very tight right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best part of my job is doing weddings and newborn shoots. At weddings, you meet some characters, whether it\u2019s a micro-wedding or a huge one. <\/p>\n
