\nChris Rock<\/a> may take center stage hosting the Oscars<\/a> or Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a>, but growing up in Brooklyn, New York, he shared the spotlight with his six brothers and one sister: Charles, Andre, Tony, Brian, Kenny, Andi and Jordan.\n<\/p>\n \nThe comedian was born to Rosalie \u201cRose\u201d Rock<\/a> and Julius Rock, who died of complications from diabetes in 1988. Great means to be wonderful people.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \nIn March 2022, Chris\u2019 family rallied around him after Will Smith<\/a> slapped him at the Oscars in response to a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith<\/a>\u2019s shaved head. (Pinkett Smith has alopecia<\/a>, a disease that causes hair loss.).\n<\/p>\n \n\u201cWhen Will slapped Chris<\/a>, he slapped all of us.
