Ayrshire castle wins two prestigious Scottish wedding awards
Family owned Rowallan Castle Estate in Ayrshire was crowned the Best Wedding Package and Best Wedding Team at the 2023 Scottish Confetti Wedding Awards, where the team competed with other businesses in the UK.
The beautiful 600-acre estate is home of the Colin Montgomerie designed championship golf course and two exclusive use castles that help make it one of Scotland’s most unique wedding venues and staycation retreats.
The family business is led by siblings George, 33, and Katy Campbell, 28, who were “thrilled” to win the award this year, following their successful win at Food Awards Scotland 2022, in Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year category.
Katy who is the wedding coordinator said: “We are absolutely delighted to win two of the awards this year. We worked extremely hard as a team to achieve this.
“We also want to say a massive thank you to our customers as they were the ones who voted and supported us.”
Rowallan Castle Estate had a Wedding Open day on February 12 where couples were able to come along, meet the team and discuss what package will best suit their dream wedding all whilst exploring the Castle and meeting some handpicked suppliers.
Katy said: “We are always happy to create bespoke packages for every couple that wants to celebrate with us. We want to make sure that they have a unique experience.
“Our parents owned this business for over 30 years and it is only a decade ago when we began to also focus on weddings. We are a hidden gem as not many people still know about us but we have a fantastic restaurant and golf course, where our customers can find out about the wedding facilities and pass it on to their friends and family.
“Open day this February was a success as it allowed us to show new customers what we have to offer. It was a very busy day and now we have a lot of new bookings which is great. We are planning to organise another open day by the end of spring, before the wedding season begins.
“In the nearest future we are planning to expand our team, take part in more competitions and continue providing a great service for our customers at Rowallan Castle Estate.”
