Changes at popular wedding venue unveiled
Stokes Farm on Binfield Road, Wokingham, has been given approval to change some of its buildings to residential use.
Five of the barns, currently used for agricultural purposes will be made into five homes.
These will have either one, two or three bedrooms.
The new buildings will be accessed via Binfield Road as well as via a single-track road from the West.
The farm has hosted weddings for a number of years. Owners describe the venue as family run and rustic, with a ‘picturesque’ Victorian Barn.
It also has in-house catering and drinks services.
It can host weddings between 30 and 150 guests.
Plans do not indicate that the homes will impact the operation of the wedding venue in any way.
Plans were approved by Wokingham Borough Council on February 12 and it is not known when work will begin.
