Ideas for a micro wedding ceremony

There is nothing quite like the feeling of being surrounded by people who love you, a feeling that can only be created with a traditional wedding ceremony. But if you’re looking for something more intimate or even more surprising, here are some ways to create a memorable tiny wedding.

Introduction

Ideas for a micro wedding ceremony

A micro wedding is a great option for couples who are looking to get married quickly and on budget. If you're considering a micro wedding ceremony, here are some ideas that might help you out:

Get married at your apartment or home. You can use the place where you live as your ceremony site, which means that all of your guests will have somewhere to stay nearby! This way everyone’s comfortable and relaxed, and it will be less stressful for everyone involved.

Have friends officiate the ceremony by reading passages from books about love and marriage (or just write those parts yourselves!) This won’t cost any money at all! The only thing needed is knowledge of what makes people want to get married—and with some research, anyone can learn this!

Get married

In a park or garden with only your nearest and dearest.

If you want to keep things low-key, and don't have a large guest list, consider having a small wedding in the park or garden. Invite just your family and close friends to the ceremony, then have a big party later on in the evening to celebrate with everyone else.

Do the ceremony at home

You may be thinking, ``But isn't the point of a wedding ceremony to have people there? Isn't it nice to have an excuse to throw an event?`` The answer is yes, but it doesn't need to be a big deal. If you are already married and don't want someone officiating your marriage, you can get married at home with just the two of you present.

  • Do it on a picnic blanket on the lawn.
  • Do it on the beach under the moonlight (if there’s no wind)!
  • Have a big party after the ceremony in the evening.

The ceremony is the most important part of the day, but it’s also just one part. After all of your friends and family have come to support you, don’t forget to have a big party later in the evening! The party should be themed around your wedding theme and include food, drinks, music and dancing. If you’re having a band or DJ at your ceremony then they may be able to stay for a little while after if they’re available; otherwise consider hiring someone else who can play music throughout the night.

Also consider having some other activities available for people to do at the reception besides eating or drinking:

Have an open floor with plenty of space for dancing (and maybe even throw down some disco lights).

Provide tables with seating so that guests can talk while they eat.

Offer an open bar with several different types of alcoholic beverages on tap so that everyone has choices (or just make sure there are enough bartenders!).

Elegant small wedding

A small wedding is still a real wedding.

When you think about it, a small wedding is still a real wedding. You can still have a big party after the ceremony! You can make your own vows, and dance with your bridesmaids at midnight. It’s all up to you. What makes this type of ceremony special is that it gives you time to focus on each other, as well as having an intimate group of people there celebrating with you.

  • Get married in a park or garden with only your nearest and dearest.
  • Do the ceremony at home.
  • Have a big party after the ceremony in the evening.

A small wedding is still a real wedding, but it’s more relaxed. You can choose what kind of music you want to have at the ceremony and reception, whether it’s classical or pop music; there won’t be a big orchestra playing during your ceremony; you’ll probably have food stations instead of having specific dishes served by waiters from each table; there won’t be as many guests invited to attend your wedding so that everyone has enough space to move around comfortably throughout the party venue (and also because your budget isn’t that huge).

So there you have it! These are just a few ideas to get you started on your way to planning the perfect micro wedding. I hope this list has given you some fun ideas that will help make your wedding day special.
