Toronto’s The Freedom Factory gallery now offering micro weddings
West Toronto’s The Freedom Factory gallery and venue has now added micro weddings to their lengthy list of event options.
For a fee of $3,000, the no-commission art gallery at 22 Dovercourt (just south of Queen Street) offers couples a trendy, yet economical, three-hour wedding, featuring the designs of local visual artists.
Each wedding package includes a host of essentials: an officiant, a cake and a professional photographer, to name a few. Couples that desire a few more bells and whistles have the opportunity to upgrade their package.
Tiffany MacIsaac, Freedom Factory co-founder, said each event hosted at the venue supports its gallery and the artists who exhibit there, by affording them the opportunity to keep 100 per cent of their profits.
She added that the idea to offer a micro-wedding service came into fruition after years of clients asking her if The Freedom Factory’s event prices increased for weddings.
“This concept of charging couples double when they are starting out their lives continued to shocked us. Thus, our new micro-wedding service (was born), offering couples an affordable, all-inclusive luxury alternative – designed by local Toronto creatives,” she said. “Artists and musicians from our network get paid to provide incredible memories that won’t leave couples in debt.”
