Yutong Music Studio
Yutong Music Studio was established in 2015 and has become one of the most renowned music education institutions in Toronto and the entire Eastern Canada region. The studio is led by young soprano Liu Yutong, who aims to guide music enthusiasts into the colorful and diverse world of music.

During her studies, Yutong won numerous awards in piano and singing competitions. Notably, in the 2019 “Cultural China Water Cube Cup” Global Chinese Song Competition, she represented Toronto and won the bronze medal in the global finals. She has also held a solo concert titled “Send You a Jasmine from the East” with a special feature on CBC News Canada and was crowned the champion of the “Swibond Voice of the Year” competition. Yutong has been invited as a guest artist at New York’s Carnegie Hall alongside Grammy award winners, and she has been a guest performer at the iconic Olympics Water Cube in Beijing. She has also shared the stage with famous vocalists such as Liao Changyong, Dong Wenhua, and Ji Ke Junyi, a mentor from The Voice of China.
Yutong has been invited as a judge for several prestigious events, including the University of Toronto’s Singing Competition” ,” the Water Cube Chinese Song Contest, Toronto’s “Best Voice,” the MOMA International Vocal Competition, and North America’s “Super Star” competition. She has also organized numerous concerts for her students.
Music education institutions
In her teaching, Yutong always emphasizes the ultimate goal of learning music: live performance. Guided by this educational philosophy, students at Yutong Music Studio have been invited to perform at prestigious events such as the Harvard University Launch Lab Stealth Program-StoryBee, the I.C.I Cultural Spring Festival Gala in New York, the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala in New Zealand, and special performances for China Radio International and China Overseas Network. Some students have represented Canada at the “Spring Festival Lantern Festival Gala” with child star Li Rongxin and have performed alongside the youngest-ever Chopin Piano Competition winner, Yang Yike, a Harvard student. They have also participated in major events like Toronto’s Dragon Culture Festival, Children’s Spring Festival Gala, Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, and the OTLF Charity Gala as art directors.
Under Yutong’s excellent teaching methods and outstanding educational principles, her students have successfully passed the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams, Canada’s only designated grading system, and achieved remarkable results in various music competitions, including the runner-up in the Water Cube Chinese Song Contest, First Prize in the Canadian International Music Competition, and Top 4 in North America’s Best Voice competition. Some students have been admitted to prestigious programs such as the Vocal Program at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts ,and the RCM Tylor Academy’s vocal department. Additionally, some students have received invitations from Atlantic Entertainment Record Company to continue pursuing their musical dreams on larger platforms.
